This August, Canada comes Stateside with DRAGASSI - A Drag Parody Celebration of Degrassi: The Next Generation! If you grew up North of the border or addicted to The N here in the U.S., you were likely also obsessed with the insane antics of the tumultuous Toronto teens of Degrassi High! A media sensation that has seen five TV series and multiple television films, the era known as The Next Generation spanned 14 seasons and more chaotic “issue of the week” drama (pronounced Canadian style, rhyming with Alabama) than you can possibly imagine. From Drake getting paralyzed in a school shooting to heartthrob Craig doing blow with Taking Back Sunday, Degrassi GOES THERE and this month at Movie Madhouse, we’re paying homage with drag queens and kings acting our sketches inspired by the show’s characters, secret screenings, games, and more! Whatever it takes, you know we will make it through!
