Celebrate the late, great Udo Kier with one of his most beloved films - Blood for Dracula! Also known as Andy Warhol’s Dracula, despite the film being produced and directed by legendary cult director Paul Morrissey (Flesh, Trash), this 1974 English-language French-Italian co-production stars Kier as the titular bloodsucker, beside Morrissey fave Joe Dallesandro, Maxime McKendry, Stefania Casini, and Vittorio de Sica, and follows Kier’s Dracula as he travels from Transylvania to pre-fascist Italy to feast upon the blood of virgins, only to find that the Italian girls aren’t as chaste as he had expected. Content warning - this film is crazy when it comes to sex, rape, and age (don’t worry, the “14 year old” is played by a 23 year old actress), but its status as a camp classic and one of the greatest Dracula adaptations endures.
