The Reds, Pinks & Purples
The Reds, Pinks & Purples is a San Francisco post-indie band led by Glenn Donaldson, who releases songs like monthly postcards to a loyal following. After many years on the fringe of acceptability, he decided to try making actual pop music that might move people. Since 2019, he has written over 200 songs and released 8 vinyl LPs on Slumberland (USA) and Tough Love (UK). In 2025, he signed with Fire Records to release a series of new and archival albums. From humble beginnings as a home recording project, The Reds, Pinks and Purples has blossomed into an affecting 5-piece live unit with tours on both sides of the Atlantic and appearances at Pitchfork Fest London and Woodsist Fest as well as support slots for indie legends such as Guided By Voices, The Feelies, Destroyer and The Bevis Frond.
HITS
Hits is the ongoing project of Oakland-based songwriter Jen Weisberg, accompanied and produced by Brian Tester and other friends for over a decade. Originally a solo recording project inspired by frustration and curiosity, Weisberg's experimental pop songs have mutated into more of a call-and-response between Weisberg and Tester's guitars from a place of structured freedom, with various other musicians supporting and adding to the mezcla.
