DARK ENTRIES + THE CREATIVE TECHNOLOGY CONSORTIUM PRESENT:
PANORAMIC COLORSOUND
THIS EVENT WILL BE A VISUAL EXPLORATION CONCEPT OF TELEVISION & FILM FROM THE 70s, 80s, 90s, AND TODAY WITH THE MUSICAL ACCOMPANIMENT OF THE ALBUM
With their 300th release, Dark Entries has continued their track record of exposing us to the obscure and wonderful. Comprised of Cooper, Letkiewicz and Bisenius, The Creative Technology Consortium’s Panoramic Colorsound transports listeners through the depths of their own creativity with 25 original compositions.
Conjured as a modern cinematic listening experience, inspired by film and television of the 80’s, 90’s and today, the soundtrack is defined by rippling harmonic waves of guitar, bass, and electronic modulation only able to be cut through by impactful percussion. The trio truly grab the attentive by the hand and take us on a journey throughout the album.
The introspective “Down The Hall – What We Make Happen” slows the mind with hypnotic arpeggios and guitar riffs filling the air between soft rhythmic percussion and dream-like voices / synths flying through the air before fading away, as they arrived. The lullaby-esque guitar outro is soon snapped by the syncopated drum programming and distorted synthesis of “Far From Amateur.” The only penetrable sounds through this fortress are conversely pure in timbre. Later on “Sympathetic Ear” walks us inside a grid-like world of intrigue with the deep chugging bass supporting synthetic arpeggios before communicating with interweaving waves of electric guitar, rhythmic snares, and what might be laser beams from approaching ships.
Simply put CtC’s Parnoramic Colorsound stands alone as an album for a closed-eye visual experience, but evolving into a nearly 3hr film that encourages focused listening and visual exploration.
Special intro and Q&A with a member of CtC to follow the film!
